BIOgraphy 

Hello,
Please call me Amelia! I've been incarcerated at the female federal prison Carswell in Fort Worth, TX for the past 10 years, time I've used to work hard, grow intentionally and stay creatively alive. I currently work two jobs, one in hobby craft and one in medical supply. In hobby craft. I get to do a little bit of everything artistic; in medical supply I help ensure the entire compund has what it needs. I also enjoy decorating for events, whether they are for staff or for the adults in custody hee. Creating spaces that feel thoughtful and human matters to me.
Crativitivy is a constant in my life. I lvoe painting, drawing, and knitting and I read whenever I can especially sci-fi and fantasy. "the invisible life of Addie LaRue" is a favorite, and I'll happily chat about anything John Scalzi has written. Music is always playing around me; my tast spans alternative rock, country, rock and singer songwriters, with pleanty of room for discovery.
When I can, I soak up sunshine and fresh air. In the outside world I love swimming, driving and traveling. I was on the swim team in hig school and was deeply involved in running cross country and track and field experience that shaped both my discipline and my love for movement.
I'm currently part of a residental program focused on personal growth and community. It's engaging and meaningful work, though i admit I struggle woth theidea that people can be neatly sorted into 16 different personality types. I'm not big on boxes, I don't believe I am a common snowflake, I believe I am an unique one.
I enjoy deep, rigorous conversations across all kinds of subjects. I like problem solving, leading teams and learning how people think. Curiosity is one of my best traits.
In another chapter of life, I loved video games and anime and I still miss them. I'm always happy to talk about whats current. Favorites include FLCL, anything Studio Ghibli and games like GTA, WOW, LoL, Fable and a nostaligic favorite, Castevania. I also enjoy Marvel, dating all the way back to the original XMEN the Phoniex Saga will always be my favorite. A recent movie I enjoyed was Kraven.
