BIOgraphyHello my name is Antonio Mendez but you can call me Tony. I am a 50 years old Mexican male. I am 6ft. tall and weigh 240lbs. I was born in Clovis, New Mexico & raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At 18 years old I was sentenced to prison and have been incarcerated for the 32 years without interruption. At a young age I was introduced to gangs, drugs, alcohol, and crime. I just wanted to be accepted, I wanted that image, I fell into that downward spiral that cost me everything, I hurt everyone I loved and destroyed my life. After several years of being incarcerated I began to wake up. Things that once felt right now weigh heavy on my conscience. I now know what is important in life and am determined to do better. At this moment I am in the process of a compassionate release. Im hoping I can prove to the courts that I have served my time and have been rehabilitated and that I am ready to re-enter the community.
While incarcerated I have done many things to enhance my life. I was determined to further my education and attended Vance-Granville community College & Pima Community college. I learned how to became a good cook by teaching myself & graduating from the American Culinary Federation. I also completed countless rehabilitation programs such as alcohol anonymous, alternative to violence project, criminal thinking, and an anger management program. I do not have children but have taken programs such as the national parenting program, Inside out dad, & positive parenting program. I also enjoy working in the chapel helping other inmates with a variety of faith groups. In my free time I like to work out. I workout about two hours daily by lifting weights and doing cardio, I like to think of myself as a healthy individual. I love all kinds of music but unfortunately have 2 left feet haha. A good friend of mine had mentioned to me that maybe it’s about time I take the time to try to meet somebody, so that is why I’m on this pen-pal site. I want to meet someone that wants a real true friend. I’m a great listener. We can share with each other our hopes, dreams, aspirations and goals. Or we can just talk about how our day is going. I am a very patient and humble person. I don’t drink alcohol, use drugs or smoke cigarettes. If you are looking for someone with NO negative baggage, I am the one you’re looking for.
