BIOgraphyI've heard that, "when the student is ready a teacher will appear." My name is Matthew and I'm a student readily seeking guidance to successfully reenter society and live a life of meaning & purpose.
What I'm looking for is reentry, parole and career advice from skilled professionals, educators, mentors and positive people who will help guide me through the transition from prison to freedom. What I bring to the table is: authenticity, ambition, a desire to learn, determination to put in the work, reliability & positivity. Within me is tremendous passion in helping others. Within these prison walls, I volunteer as a peer supporter, I also facilitate & teach classes that focus on reentry preparation, anger management and character development. Helping animals is another area I'm passionate about and I volunteer with rescue animals, caring for and training them until a forever home is found for them. Education is important to me and I hunger for knowledge! I want to learn and grow alongside individuals who understand that transformation doesn't begin with freedom, it begins within and with intention. With the right support, I'll be stepping back into the world not just to live, but to heal, serve and lead with meaning & purpose.
