BIOgraphyIn the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Ever Merciful. It is His support that we seek.
As-salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, Stop! Don't pass me by without being reminded that God created us to support and benefit one another. This would imply someone who is not shallow and, more importantly, someone with an open and flexible mind. It gives us the opportunity to be nothing more than friends first. It has been my experience that when you have a genuine friend in your corner, nothing becomes everything, loneliness becomes happiness, and sharing brings comfort and understanding. I am not usually given to simply reaching out. Perhaps it's because, in this patriarchal society, men are often taught that it's unmanly to admit need, express sensitivity, or even openly say they are lonely and need a friend. I suppose that is what this whole letter amounts to: an ailing soul, an anguished mind, and a lonely heart in search of someone who is spiritually conscious and striving to grow closer to God. Life tests us through our children, finances, careers, relationships, and the distractions of this world. Because of that, we should offer one another sincere advice, encouragement, and reminders to stay grounded in what truly matters. Any woman is welcome to write, especially one who is spiritually conscious, open-minded, compassionate, and values personal growth. Each of us is unique. Will you share some of yourself with me?
