BIOgraphy 

Hello. I have certainly nearly 26 years of my 69 year, 10 month sentence. Due to recent changes in law, I am newly eligible to file in the courts for an early release. During my time in prison, mostly everyone I knew, including family has died. I know I have little understanding of the world as it exists today. So I am reaching out for a penpal or two that can help me learn today’s world and maybe offer me advice and moral support if the courts do grant my release.

I was born in an army hospital at Fort Ord, CA. My father was discharged in April 1954 and we moved to the Fresno/Clovis area. I’ve lived and traveled over most of the United States. As an adult, I’ve served two years in the US Navy during the last years of the Vietnam war. I enjoy working out and exercising. I lift weights 4 to 5 times a week, play handball a couple of times a week, ride an exercise bike several times a week, and walk at least 5 miles a day. I enjoy riding, but write less and less as the years have gone by. I draw a lot, mostly greeting cards I can sell to support myself in here. This prison has a very small population, it is mostly a lockdown mental health unit. My unit which is less than 200 people is a work cadre crew that does all the work supporting the psych units. The cadre crew is 100% ex-gang members. We are trying to change and better themselves. This is considered an honor unit, but hard to tell. I follow politics obsessively, but hate politics and politicians. I just can’t help myself. I am very prompt in answering mail, I have a lot of time on my hands. Thank you!
